About our Event
This year the Los Primeros School of Sciences & Arts PTO is hosting its annual silent auction on Friday, May 1st at the Twisted Oak Tavern in Camarillo.
All proceeds will benefit the students of Los Primeros through enrichment programs.
FAQ’s about the event
When & Where?: Friday, May 1st at the Twisted Oak Tavern, 2433 Ventura Blvd, Camarillo, CA 93010. The event starts at 5 p.m.
What do I wear? Whatever you are comfortable in! The event is at an outdoor venue, so bring a wrap or jacket. The dinner and dance is inside, but the auction is on the patio, so a wrap or light jacket might be appropriate. Feel free to wear your favorite Clueless outfit, “As If!," or grunge apparel!
Are Children Invited? This is an adult only social event. Our goal is for parents, teachers and staff to be able to relax, talk, meet & socialize with each other in a casual & festive setting for an evening while raising money to support our kids! Book those babysitters now!
Are Los Primeros Staff Invited? Yes, they most certainly are!! In fact, Los Primeros has a great tradition of donating towards the ticket price for our teachers and staff! If you would like to donate a few $ towards their ticket, mark it on the rsvp card or drop it off for us in the office. We plan to cover the ticket for every teacher and staff member that would like to attend!
What’s for dinner? Pure Yummy-ness! Hot appetizers, delicious entree options served for you. Water, tea and coffee are included. A dessert table will follow dinner. Beer, wine and cocktails will be available for purchase (cash and cards accepted; we do encourage tips in cash!).
Sounds great! How do I sign up? You can register online at https://lpss.ejoinme.org/Auction2026 to buy tickets with a credit card (small convenience fee will apply.) Or, you can submit the response card that was included in your invitation to the school office by Friday, April 17th.
Can I sponsor the event? Yes! If you are interested in sponsoring the event, or know of a business that might be interested, please go to https://lpss.ejoinme.org/Auction2026 and select “Event Sponsorship Information”.
Can I donate to the event? Yes! If you are interested in donating an item to the event, or know of a business that might be interested, please go to https://lpss.ejoinme.org/Auction2026 and select "Auction Item Donation".
Where are my tickets? There are no tickets to worry about. Once you are registered (either online or with the RSVP card), we will prepare a bid number for you. When you arrive, check-in at the registration table and you will receive a wristband with your bidder number and a program.
What is a “Certificate $for$ Board”? During the event there will be boards posted with gift cards in different denominations. You will have an opportunity to donate the exact amount they are worth (Dollar 4 Dollar!) to purchase the cards. They are all local establishments that donated to our event (food, movie tickets, etc.). If you go there anyway, why not donate to Los Primeros?!!
Can I sit with my friends? Seating is relaxed. Feel free to grab a cocktail at the bar, take a walk around the restaurant and dance the night away. There will be a variety of restaurant style table options to accommodate your needs.
What about my car? Free parking for Twisted Oak Tavern (2433 Ventura Blvd) is available in the dedicated lot adjacent to the building. Free street parking is also available in the surrounding Old Town Camarillo area. Overnight parking is not explicitly permitted in this lot. You can park overnight at the Camarillo train station (Metrolink/Amtrak) which is very close at 30 Lewis Rd. You may leave your car overnight if you find you have had too much fun and opt for an Uber or Lyft home. We encourage everyone to relax responsibly and designate a driver or an Uber for the night.
Do I have to bid on auction items if I attend? No, you do not have to bid. But we will have a little something for everyone. Please look for a link describing some of our items up for auction when we are closer to the event.
Can I bring a friend? Of course! Bring friends, family, grandparents that are interested in supporting our school and our students.
What am I raising money for? The silent auction is our major fundraiser supporting next year’s activities. In the past, the Los Primeros PTO has sponsored many things at LPSSA including Field Trips and Buses, Enlightened Learning Art, Music Classes, Science Enrichments, Middle School Sports, 8th Grade Graduation, Playground Equipment, STREAM Room & Book Den, Teacher supplies and more.
What can I expect of the evening? Fun! But it will go something like this:
Check-in & Appetizers & Bar Open - 5 p.m.
Dinner - 6 p.m.
Silent Auction Tables Close - 7 p.m., 8 p.m., 9 p.m.
Live Auction - 8:15 p.m.
Music & Dancing all night!
