FAQ’s about the event
When & Where?: Friday, April 5 at the Commemorative Air Force Museum (Camarillo Airport). 455 Aviation Drive, Camarillo, California 93010. The event starts at 5:30 pm.
What do I wear? Whatever you are comfortable in! The event is in an airport hangar which will be partially opened throughout the event, so bring a wrap or jacket. Feel free to wear 1940s casual attire! Or jeans! Or a Zoot Suit!
Are Children Invited? This is an adult only social event. Our goal is for parents to be able to relax, talk, meet & socialize with each other in a casual & festive setting for an evening while raising money to support our kids! Book those babysitters now!
What’s for dinner? Comfort Food! Hot appetizers, BBQ, tasty sides including vegetarian options, salad bar and bread sticks. Water and coffee are included. A dessert table will follow dinner. Beer, wine and cocktails will be available for purchase (cash and cards accepted; we do encourage tips in cash!).
Sounds great! How do I sign up?

What is the Wine & Whiskey Wagon? It is a raffle full of wine and whiskey! Bring a bottle of either and you will receive 5 raffle tickets. Tickets can also be purchased at the event (5 tickets for $20). At the end of the evening we will raffle off a winner. Nothing could be more exciting than that!!! (Wagon not included but we will have boxes to help pack it all up!)
What is a “Certificate Pull”? During the event there will be an opportunity to donate $20 and in return you will get a gift certificate, valued from $20-$50, to local establishments (food, movie tickets, etc.). Be on the lookout for this during the final live auction event!
Can I sit with my friends? Seating is relaxed. No need to reserve a table spot unless you want to. Feel free to grab a cocktail at the bar, take a walk around the WWII planes, dance the night away. There will be a variety of table options to accommodate your needs.
What about my car? There is sufficient parking on the street. You may leave your car overnight if you find you have had too much fun and opt for an Uber or Lyft home. We encourage everyone to relax responsibly and designate a driver or an Uber for the night.
Do I have to bid on auction items if I attend? No, you do not have to bid. But we will have a little something for everyone. Please look for a link describing some of our items up for auction when we are closer to the event.
Can I bring a friend? Of course! Bring friends, family, grandparents that are interested in supporting our school and our students.
What am I raising money for? The silent auction is our major fundraiser supporting next year’s activities. So far this year, the PTO has sponsored many things at LPSSA including field trips and buses, Art Trek, playground equipment and curriculum supplements. In addition, PTO has approved other items awaiting implementation such as new trees in the grass area, new risers, mindfulness in middle school, flexible seating options in the classroom, a laminator for teacher use, and much more.
What can I expect of the evening? Fun! But it will go something like this: TBD (Event Schedule will be added closer to the event).
